About M.Tech. (Rock Mechanics)

It is an undergraduate academic degree awarded for the course in the field of engineering. In India, the duration of Bachelor of engineering degree is four years. BE course generally is offered into different branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, and others. By various private and government institutions in India. The eligibility criteria for the course is that the candidate applying should have completed 10+2 in the field of Science with at least 75% in the best five subjects. It has same engineering courses as Bachelor of Technology but the difference between the two is that BE is knowledge oriented course and is mostly based on theoretical research.

M.Tech provides you the insight and deep knowledge of the subjects that you have studied in your B.Tech course. Many well-known institutions run the M.Tech programme in part-time or distance mode also. Admissions into M.Tech programme is purely done through the national level or state level entrance exam. Candidates have to appear in the entrance exam Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) that is the All India level examination to get admission in IITs.
