Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to the M.Phil. Programme shall have minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disabilities) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in Social Sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing Master's degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of educational policy, planning and administration. The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC, with the above-mentioned educational qualifications are also encouraged to apply. Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master's level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination as per the eligibility conditions laid down at (a) above and submit its proof at the time of the entrance examination. In 2019-20, a maximum of 20 scholars shall be selected for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes. Read Less
