Duration of MBBS

The MBBS course in the first 2 and a half years included the basic pre and para-clinical subjects such as biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, forensic medicine including toxicology and pharmacology. The students simultaneously are taken through hands-on training in the wards and out-patient departments; an exercise which involves interacting with real patients for all training years. There is lab work too during the first two and a half years. The remaining two years involves learning of clinical subjects like eye, Ent, surgery, medicine and other subjects.

MBBS Curriculum

The studies include learning the art of  history taking, examination, differential diagnosis and complete patient management. The student is taught to determine what investigations are useful for a patient and what are the best treatment options available to use for a particular disease. The curriculum also contains a thorough practical knowledge and practice of performing standard clinical procedures. The course also contains a 12-month-long internship, in which an intern is rotated across various specialties and is involved in bed side as well as emergency care.  Some time is also spent in the operating rooms.
Thus along with learning standard clinical care, one also gets a thorough experience of ward and staff management, patient and relative counselling skills as well as research and audit tools.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS

The minimum requirements for the MBBS course are 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English in the '10+2' examinations and for reserved category students, the requirement is 40%. Since there only one exam in India for admission to a medical college teaching MBBS course, the admission are the same across universities and colleges in India. Generally, students who attain higher marks in the qualifying examinations are accepted onto the MBBS course.

After an individual’s undergraduate education has been completed ie 12th class, he or she will need to pursue an LLB in order to actually practice in the field of law. This program typically takes three to five years to complete.  Similarly student can enrol for LLB after completing graduation in any subject.This is a three years course study.

Nevertheless, some universities separate in between LLB and BA Law programs, with the previous concentrating exclusively on regulations and law and the latter enabling pupils to enrol in modules in other topics, with a concentrate on liberal arts and law studies.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is an established degree for courses in design at undergraduate level. B.Des degree is a three to four year course for various specialisations in design. These include Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Accessory Designing, Industry Design, Textile Designing and many others. B.Des degree is offered in various design specialisations such as Graphic Designing, Multimedia Designing, VFX Design, Visual Communication, and Game Designing.

The course curriculum consists of CAD, CAM, product development, marketing, specialisation specific subjects, vocational subjects, elective subjects as well as personality and skills development subjects. Students who pursue B.Des course also participate as interns and take part in events as well as exhibitions at national as well as international level.

B.Des Eligibility

1. Students who have passed Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination can pursue the B.Des course.
2. Students can pursue the course irrespective of streams i.e. Science, Commerce, Arts and Humanities.
3. The age limit for admission to B.Des courses is minimum 19 or 20 years as specified by the institutes at the time of admission.

The SAT is an entrance Exam, marks of which are used for entrance to American colleges and universities. The full form of SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test. The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the American College Board. In America and many other countries,  lot of colleges require scores from the SAT or ACT tests for the admissions process.  SAT score is a key component for a student’s college applications in USA and other countries where applicable.

Applicants aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses, particularly in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore and many more are required to take the SAT exam. Many Indian academic universities are also accepting SAT scores these days.

SAT Details:

SAT measures a high school student's readiness for college, and colleges are provided with one standard and common platform, that can be used to compare all applicants. •    After taking the SAT, students may cancel their score up until the Wednesday
•    The best time to take the SAT is in class 11 or early class 12
•    Students can take the test more than once to improve their score.
•    Two to three times is the maximum recommended number of attempts
•    There are no eligibility criteria; you can be of any age to appear in the test

There are two ways you can register for the SAT exam in India.

    Register Online in India

1.    Create a student profile
2.    Choose test date and test centre (Sunday testing and option to choose test centre closer to home is not offered)
3.    You will receive immediate registration confirmation
4.    Pay the exam fee through credit/debit card or online funds transfer.
5.    Registration deadlines are typically about three to four weeks before a test date.
6.    Late registration deadlines are typically about two to three weeks before a test date, and registering late will incur a late fee.

    Register by Mail in India

1.    You first need ‘The Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests’, which is available at schools.
2.    The guide includes a registration form and return envelope.
3.    The form needs to be sent along with a demand draft.
