The CAT (Common Admission Test) 2026 examination is a competitive test that can help you to get admission to MBA, PGDM and other management programs offered at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the top B-Schools across India. 

The registration process for the CAT 2026 exam opened up on August 03, 2026 (10:00 AM IST). It will end on September 15, 2026 (5:00 PM IST).  You need to hurry up and register quickly, if you wish to appear for this national-level entrance test. 

CAT 2026 Registration: Application Form

You need to fill up the application form for the CAT 2026 during the time of registration for the exam. The application form is available at the official CAT 2026 website

Here is how to register for the exam and fill up the application form:

Create an account

First, you have to visit the official CAT 2026 website. Click on "New Candidate Registration". During registration, you need to enter personal details such as:

·        Name,

·        Date of birth,

·        Mobile number, and

·        Email address

Verify details

Then, you have to complete the OTP verification process. The OTP will be sent to your mobile and email id. You will be able to get your unique User ID and Password.

Fill the application form

Log into the website using your credentials. Enter your:

·        Personal details,

·        Work experience,

·        Academic background, and

·        Preferred test cities

 

For academic background proof, you have to upload your:

 

·        Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, and

·        Graduation marksheets or final year certificate

 

You have to prove that you have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (if you are a general category candidate) or 45% (if you are from a reserved category).

Upload documents

Then, you need to submit scanned copies of your recent passport-size photo. You are also expected to upload copies of your signature as well as applicable category or PwD certificates.

Pay the fee

You have to pay the necessary fee, depending on the category that you belong to. 

Submit and save

Finally, you have to preview your form. Once you are assured that whatever you entered is correct, submit it. Then, you need to download the confirmation page. Also save the fee receipt.

CAT 2026 Registration: Fee

If you are from the General / EWS / NC-OBC background, you have to pay ₹2,700 to register for the exam. SC / ST / PwD background aspirants have to pay an amount of ₹1,350.

CAT 2026 Registration: Correction Window

The application correction window is for aspirants who need to fix any error in the official application for the CAT 2026 examination. It will open up shortly after the end of the registration process on September 15, 2026. The window will be available in the late September or early October 2026.

You can expect to edit only specific fields in the window, including:

·        Your signature,

·        Photograph, and

·        Test city preferences

Generally, you cannot change vital details like your name, DOB, mobile number and email. Once submitted, these details cannot be altered.
