Admission
Students from any stream or background can pursue acting. This field requires a lot of hard work and passion. Aspiring actors need to have good memorization and communication skills. Students need to check the official websites of the acting schools where they want to get admission. Fill the form, pay the fees and get a good start. The admission process for diploma courses involves the performing skills of the students. There are entrance exams that students need to clear for the admissions National School of Drama (NSD), FTII entrance test. The online application forms are released by the end of January month every year. There are offline merit-based admissions as well. Students need to pass the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate from a recognized board. They will also have to clear the Personal Interview round to get admission.

Though this field offers numerous job opportunities but is very competitive as well. Aspiring actors can start their careers from Bollywood, TV Channels, or OTT platforms as well.
