NATA 2023 National Aptitude Test in Architecture

NATA 2023 - National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by the Council of Architecture each year. It is a Common Aptitude Test in Architecture, held at national level to provide a single window system for appearing in aptitude test for admission of students for admission to 5 year B.Arch Degree Course at all recognized Institutions all over the country.

This is a separate aptitude test for admission to B.Arch Architecture and is not combined with the tests for admissions to Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine and other disciplines.
The concerned designated authorities of the respective states/institutions hold admission to architecture colleges based on NATA score.
NATA measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability of the students desirous of becoming Architects

Eligibility for NATA Test

Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+ 3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2024. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2024.

NATA 2024 Exam Pattern

CoA will be conducting NATA 2024 for admission to B.Arch. in the academic session 2023-24
Test will be conducted three times in a year
Best of score of the three tests will be considered.
Appearing for the third test is not mandatory.
Application will be available ONLINE at the NATA portal of www.nata.in. to be filled up, when announced.
First / Second and third tests will be conducted on a different date as a one-day online examination all over the country.

NATA Exam Details

Test has two parts.
Total duration is three hours and 200 total marks
Comprises of Online Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Dates for NATA

The dates are announced in the month of March. Form filling also starts at the same time
First test is usually in April and next in June and last in July.

NATA Admit Card

Admit card will be made available on the official site for each exam. Roll number and name of centre will be mentioned on the admit card. It has to be downloaded from the official site and printed.

NATA Exam Centres

This is a national exam and centres are spread all over the country. There are more than 157 centres in India.

Overseas Centre for NATA

In 2024 one centre was in Dubai. So there is a likelihood of an international centre in 2024 too.

Results for NATA

Results for the first second and third tests are usually announced two weeks after each test.

Admission to first year of B.Arch Course
NATA is a qualifying examination for admission into the 5 years B. Arch degree program. The admission process is done by individual state or college counselling bodies utilizing the marks achieved in NATA
