SRMJEE 2020 – All You Need to Know

Sri Ramaswamy Memorial (SRM) Institute of Science and Technology is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India was founded in the year 1985. SRMJEE is a joint entrance exam conducted for enrollment of aspirants into the B. Tech and M. Tech degree courses across the various campuses of SRM University.SRMJEE is an online-based MCQ exam that consists of a total of105 questions from Chemistry, Physics, and either Mathematics or Biology. Aspirants can apply SRMJEE 2020 for this exam online on the official website of the SRM University, where they can choose their preference of specialization and campus. SRM University offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduates and other programs in Engineering, Humanities, Management and Medicine across all its campuses.

Syllabus of SRMJEE 2020

The SRM University has prescribed a special syllabus for the SRMJEE 2020 exam, it consists of 10 Units from Physics and Mathematics each, 13 units from Biology and 16 units from Chemistry.

• Topics for Physics: Units and Measurements, Kinematics, Gravitation, Wave motion, Work Power and Energy, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Dynamics, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, and Electronics and Telecommunication.

• Topics for Mathematics: Set, relations and functions, Matrices and Determinants, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Mathematical Induction, Permutation and Combination, Differential and Integral Calculus, Geometry, vectors, and Statistics and Probability.

• Topics for Chemistry: Atomic Structure, States of Matter, Chemical Bonding, Periodic Table, Thermodynamics, Solutions, Chemical Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Chemical kinematics, and Nuclear Chemistry, Hydrocarbons, All Organic Compounds, and Polymers and Biomolecules.

• Topics for Zoology: Human Physiology, Microbiology, immunology, Environmental Science, Applied Biology, Theories of Evolution, and Modern Genetics and Animal Biotechnology.

• Topics for Botany: Plant Anatomy, Taxonomy of Angiosperm, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Biology in Human Welfare.

SRMJEE 2020 Exam Paper Pattern

SRMJEE 2020 will be conducted as an online computer-based test, it will be a 2-hour 30 minutes examination, the question paper will have no negative marking for wrong answers.

• Mode of Examination: The medium of the exam is English

• Question Category: Question paper will have MCQ based questions

• Number of Sections: Total 3 sections, question paper will comprise of questions from the syllabus of subjects like Chemistry, Physics and either Mathematics or Biology

• Total Questions: 105 questions, 35 questions in each subject

• Marking Scheme: +3 marks awarded for every right answer, otherwise no negative marking, total marks 315.

Application Process for SRMJEE 2020

SRMJEE 2020 will be conducted across various cities in India, application forms will soon be available on the official website of the SRM University. It is mandatory for students from now to have an Aadhaar Card to get instructions regarding the application and admission process for SRM Universities through mail or Sms. The specifications like image size required to upload for filling the application form, contact details for any query in the process are addressed on the official website. The last date for the application process will be 30 March 2020.

Slot Booking and Exam Dates

SRMJEE 2020 online entrance examination will be held between 12 to 20 April 2020. After the candidates fill the online application form, the slot booking will start in the first week of April 2020 that will ask them to choose one of the preferred exam dates. Interested students can apply for joining the enrollment process by filling the applications and selecting the specific slot to appear for the exam.

Counseling and Commencement of Academic Year

Applicants who have appeared for the SRMJEE examination will get to see their results in the last week of April 2020. They will get to choose the specialization and preferred campus based on their merit rank in the SRMJEE 2020 exam, during the counseling which will be conducted during the first two weeks of May 2020. The on-campus enrollment will begin by the third week of June and commencement of the classes will be from the fourth week of June 2020.
