National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2024
The National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2024, will act as an entrance doorway to ambitious youth wanting to forge their careers within the Armed Forces of India. Scheduled for 2024 by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), it provides admittance to two of India's prestigious institutions- National Defence Academy and Naval Academy-cradles to the leaders and personnel of Indian Armed forces in the near future
General Overview
One of the most difficult tests to pass in order to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA, as well as the Naval Academy's 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme. The examination is conducted twice a year, and the 2024 (I) edition will be an opportunity for aspirants to step closer to their dream of serving the nation.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: As of the specified date, candidates must be between the ages of 16.5 and 19.5.
Educational Qualification: Candidates for the Army Wing must have completed Class 12 or be enrolled in it.
For Air Force and Naval Wings: Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India or must fulfill any other specific nationality criterion defined by the UPSC.
Selection Procedure
Written Examination:
The written exam consists of two papers:
Mathematics (300 marks)
General Ability Test (600 marks)
The exam tests mathematical aptitude, English proficiency, and general knowledge, including current affairs and science.
SSB Interview:
Only those candidates who clear the written examination will be allowed to undergo the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview that will check their psychological, physical, and leadership abilities.
Medical Examination:
The last selection depends on the candidate's medical standards.
Tips for Preparation
● Give enough time to concepts in mathematics. Practice problems under timed conditions.
● Be updated with current affairs and a strong base in science, history, and geography.
● One must develop communication skills, team biking performance, and the ability to be physically fit in order to overcome the SSB interview well.
● Refer to past year's question papers to familiarize yourself with the types of questions and the time management skill needed for the examination.
