Are you planning to sit for the WBJEE 2026 examination? An annual, state-level examination for West Bengal, WBJEE or West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, is an exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). WBJEE 2026 Exam Dates
The exam will be conducted this year on May 24, 2026 (Sunday). It will cover Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for 2026-27 academic session admissions. It will be held in offline (OMR-based) mode, in two sessions.
· You will have to sit for Paper I (Mathematics) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
· Then, you have to appear for Paper II (Physics & Chemistry), which will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
There will be a 1-hour break in between the exams.
WBJEE 2026 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme Explained
There will be two papers in this exam.
· Paper 1 will cover Mathematics.
· Paper 2 will cover Physics & Chemistry.
When it comes to WBJEE marks distribution 2026, there will be a total of 200 marks, with 100 for Paper 1 and 100 for Paper 2.
As far as the WBJEE 2026 exam pattern is concerned, in total, there will be 150 multiple-choice questions. Each paper will have a duration of 2 hours.
A multi-category WBJEE marking scheme 2026 (-1/4, -1/2, or no WBJEE 2026 negative marking) will be used in this exam. There will be 3 categories, in total, with different marking structures:
· Category I: Each correct answer gets +1 mark; -0.25 is deducted for an incorrect answer
· Category II: Each correct answer gets +2 marks; -0.5 is deducted for an incorrect answer
· Category III: One or more options are correct; +2 marks for the correct answer, no negative marking
Then comes WBJEE subjects and marks. In Paper 1, covering mathematics, there will be 75 questions in total – 50 for Category 1, 15 for Category II and 10 for Category III.
In Paper 2, covering Physics and Chemistry, there will be 80 questions in total – 40 per subject. You will get 30 questions for Category 1, 5 for Category II and 5 for Category III.

WBJEE 2026 Registration Last Date
The WBJEE 2026 exam date is on May 24, 2026. Registration for the exam has opened from March 10, 2026. WBJEE 2026 registration last date is April 5, 2026, up to 11:55 pm. From March 10 to April 5, 2026 – that is the application period for candidates.

Once paid, the fee will not be refunded in any circumstance.
