The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHIATS/SHUATS) is a deemed university in Allahabad, UP. SHUATS Entrance Exam is a National Level Entrance Exam administered by the university itself; to offer admission to the aspirants in the several UG and PG programs.

Candidates can check the eligibility requirement for the respective program by following these simple steps;

· Next, go to the admission page, and click on "Find Eligible Programs".
· Fill in the necessary details like the qualification, stream, subject chosen, along with the subject group code.
· On the submission of these details, a candidate can see a list of courses for which he/she is eligible.
An Overview of SHIATS Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate
Qualification: Candidates with 10+2 qualification from a recognized board/institute/university, with a minimum of 45% marks in any stream as per the eligibility criteria. Candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to appear for SHIAT 2021. However, they need to produce all the necessary documents at the time of counseling.
Postgraduate
Qualification: Graduates candidates with a bachelor's degree from a recognized university/institute with a minimum of 50% marks in the related discipline. Candidates appearing in the final year examination are also eligible to appear for SHIAT 2021. However, they need to produce all the necessary documents at the time of counseling.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Qualification: Candidates holding 50% marks in the bachelor's /master's degree along with two school subjects part of their graduate study are eligible for the SHIATS 2021 Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course.
Master of Education (M.Ed)
Qualification: Candidates having a B.Ed degree with 55% marks are eligible for the SHIAT 2021 Master of Education (M.Ed) program.
Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed)
Qualification: The candidate with a graduation in any stream having physical education as an optional subject possessing 45% marks in the same are eligible for the SHIAT 2021 B.P.Ed program.
Ph.D.
Qualification: Candidate having a regular master's degree in a suitable subject with a minimum of 55% marks (or 6.00 CGPA/OGPA) for general category candidate.
The eligibility criteria vary for the reserve candidates in terms of marks/percentage requirements. There are some courses where admission is done, via direct interview entry or by SHIAT 2021 exams.
SHIATS/SHUATS Exam Pattern

Undergraduate
Candidates with subject groups: PCM PCMB / PCB /HBC
There's a total of 150 Questions: General Aptitude comprises 60 questions (Compulsory Section for all). The Optional Section comprises Physics -30 questions, Chemistry - 30 questions, Mathematics - 30 questions, Biology - 30 questions, Home Science - 30 questions. From the optional subjects, candidates would have to select three subjects according to his/her qualification.
Mode of examination:- Hindi and English languages.
Candidates with subject groups: AGRI/ARTS/COM
There's a total of 150 Questions: General Aptitude comprises 60 questions (Compulsory section for all). The Optional Section comprises Agriculture subject for AGRI - 90 questions/Commerce Subjects for COM - 90 questions/Arts Subjects for ARTS - 90 questions. From the optional subjects, candidates would have to select subjects according to his/her qualification.
Mode of examination:- Hindi and English languages.
Postgraduate (PG)
Candidates with subject groups: AGRI/HSC/BIO/ABF/SCI/OTH/ETE
There's a total of 160 Questions: General Aptitude questions (Compulsory section for all), The Optional Section comprises AGRI, BIO, ABF, HSC, SCI, OTH, ETE.
Mode of examination:- English language only.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed)
Candidates appearing for B.Ed and M.Ed programs are needed to attempt a total of 200 questions (i.e. 150 questions from the Postgraduate section and 40 questions from the additional section).
Application Procedure
Knowing the eligibility criteria, mode of examination, exam pattern, it's time to know how to apply for the respective course.
Start with Visiting the official website --> Go to the admissions page --> Click on apply online(Candidates can apply with offline mode as well.) → Select the program --> Enter the qualifying examination details → Next is entering the credentials(comprise of Candidate's Name, Parent's Name, Address, Contact, Date of Birth, etc) --> Upload the photograph --> make the payment (The payment can be done via offline mode as well through demand draft in favor of The Registrar, SHUATS, Payable at Allahabad.) --> Submit the application form --> Take the printout --> The final step is to Send the Application form(to the address The Registrar, Sam Higginbottom Institute Of Agriculture, Technology, And Sciences Allahabad 211007, Uttar Pradesh).
Application fees:- For Undergraduate Programmes, Postgraduate Programmes, B.Ed, M.Ed the application fees is- INR 1000. For the PG Programmes -INR 1200. For Faculty level Test & Direct Interview Programmes-INR 500.
Important dates
The various dates regarding the application are yet to be announced. However, the tentative exam for the SHIATS/SHUATS is expected to be in August 2021. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official site for regular updates.
