Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has announced a tentative programme to conduct the Under-Graduate and PostGraduate examination. It has been decided by the university that the examinations will be held in phases and starting from mid-July.
The exams of the second, fourth, and sixth semester of the Under Graduate courses might start in mid-July if the Covid situation remains under control. A committee has been set up to decide the tentative schedule. There will be around 42000 to 45000 who will appear in the examination. The examination will be held in strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

There are about 150 examination centres which have been proposed to be set up although the evaluation will be done internally in the same college. The students will be provided with the choices of centres, also the social distancing norms will b followed. They have also been asked to arrange accommodation in nearby schools in case additional space is required.
For Post Graduation students, the examination will be held in the month of August and the new academic session would start in September. While under the annual system, exams were conducted only after regular classes were resumed.
Although this is the tentative notification if the lockdown increases then the examination will be postponed further.
