NIFTEE Result 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Stage-1 results of the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026. The results were released today, March 20, 2026. This exam is the gateway for admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs for the 2026–27 academic year.
The Stage-1 exam was held on February 8, 2026, at 129 centers across 97 cities in India. The exam was conducted in both English and Hindi languages. Depending on the course, it was held either in Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Pen-and-Paper Based Test (PBT) mode.
Through this entrance exam, admissions will be given to the following courses:
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
- Master of Design (M.Des.)
- Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
- Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
- Lateral Entry programs for B.Des. and B.F.Tech.
There is no Stage-2 exam for B.F.Tech, so its final results will be announced separately.
NIFTEE Next Phase: Stage-2
Candidates who qualified in Stage-1 are now eligible for Stage-2, which includes the Situation Test, Studio Test, and Personal Interview. For each available seat, four candidates have been shortlisted (a 1:4 ratio). For the PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category, candidates must score at least 50% of the cut-off marks for their respective category.
The results page now shows each candidate’s status — for example, whether they are “Selected/Not Selected for Situation Test” (for B.Des. candidates), or “Selected/Not Selected for Interview” (for M.Des., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech. candidates). Similarly, the selection status for Studio Test, Technical Ability Test, and Interview for the Lateral Entry program has also been displayed online.
