Eligibility
GATE Category GATE candidates with B.Tech./B.E. in CSE/ECE/equivalent branches are eligible to apply for admission through Centralized Counselling for MTech (CCMT) 2021 portal. In the GATE category, candidates should have a valid GATE score. In the GATE category, candidates have to follow the procedures of CCMT for the admission. GATE category candidates have to choose IIIT Sri City in CCMT portal in order to get admission at IIIT Sri City. The eligibility criteria for the GATE candidates will be governed by the CCMT rules. Non-GATE Category Non-GATE candidates with B.Tech./B.E. in CSE/ECE/equivalent branches are eligible to apply for admission through the institute admission process. In the qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates. The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute. Only the primary mode of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet shall be considered while verifying eligibility. Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by individual Institute/university will not be allowed. In case, the result of the qualifying degree is awaited, provisional admission is permitted to a candidate subject to meeting above minimum qualifying degree requirements latest by September 15, 2021. In these cases, all exams should have been completed by July 30, 2021. A certificate from the head of the current institute to that effect should be submitted during document verification (the format is provided at the IIITS website).

(OR) Exceptional candidates with Master's in Statistics / Mathematics / MCA / Physics / Electronic Sciences / Computer Science / Atmospheric Science/Information Technology / Bio-informatics / Geography (or an associated area with strong background in mathematics and programming), or any other related subjects (OR) Exceptional candidates having BE/B.Tech OR equivalent degree may also be considered.
