Eligibility
Candidates who have secured the 1st, 2nd or 3rd position (i.e., any of the top three ranks) in their undergraduate program can apply directly without any Admission Test score by entering their rank information in the Xavier University Online Application Form. A certificate from the Head of the Institution stating their rank/ position must be furnished. Candidates with a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University can apply with a valid Admission Test score of GATE/CEED/NATA/XMAT/CAT/XAT/NMAT as stated in the instructions in the Xavier University Online Application Form. Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Planning, Geography (Hons.), and Economics (Hons.) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate AND candidates from other disciplines with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in their three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) program are also encouraged to apply. More Information
The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as overall cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the Interview session. The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT/GATE/CEED/NATA as well as in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail in the month of April 2019.

A certificate from the Head of the Institution stating their rank/ position must be furnished. Candidates with a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Architecture/Planning or Master’s degree in Geography/Economics/Sociology with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University can apply. Those with a valid Admission Test score of GATE/CEED/NATA/CCU as stated in the instructions in the Xavier University Online Application Form will be given preference. Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in their three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) program can apply. Those with a valid Admission Test score of GATE/CEED/NATA/CCU as stated in the instructions in the Xavier University Online Application Form will be given preference. Master’s in architecture, Engineering, Planning (any stream such as Urban, Regional, Transportation, Environmental, Housing etc.), Urban Design, Geography, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, MBA or equivalent, Finance, Public Systems Management.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic records and SOPs. The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), Subject Test, Presentation, and Personal Interview to be held in Bhubaneswar. Details on X-RAT is available separately on our website. The coursework for the selected candidates will commence from July 2019.
