Assam Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 or Assam TET 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to TET. Assam TET 2021 is conducted by Government of Assam Secondary Education Department.
Assam TET for the year 2021 has been announced by Government of Assam Secondary Education Department and will be held on 24/10/2021. The application forms will be available from 15/09/2021 till 25/09/2021. The exam is in written mode. It is being conducted in English, Hindi, Bengali and Assamese languages. Admit card will be available from 10/10/2021. The result date will be announced later.

Assam TET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam
Candidate must have minimum academic and professional qualification as per NCTE norms as follows:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E1.Ed)
OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
- Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)obtained from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.
- However, a candidate *fro is pursuing and having Admit Card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCl, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February,2O11, may also apply for TET. However he/she can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

Application Form Filling Instructions
- Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website
- Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.
- The TET Empowered Committee does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason .
