MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 Exam - Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Master of Business Administration / Master of Management Studies 2021 or MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to MBA and MMS. MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State.

The application forms will be available from 22/06/2021 till 19/07/2021. The exam is in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. It is being conducted in English language. The result date will be announced later.

MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility for Appearing Online MAH - MBA / MMS CET 2021 

Passed minimum Three-year Duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent; 

OR 

Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline

Note:

  • Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects on which the class declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidate is passing the qualifying examination.
  • In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University/institution from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
  • The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after decimal.
  • The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to STcategory should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates at the time of verification of documents

Application Form Fee

Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid through online system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card / Debit Card (RuPay / Visa / MasterCard / Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards / Mobile Wallets for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non - refundable and non transferable under any circumstances. 

For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates Rs. 1000/-
For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. Rs. 800/-
Online Payment of Examination Fees 

The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / MasterCard /  Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. 

Application Form Filling Instructions

  • Students applying for the MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 have to fill up the application form on the official site.
  • The student can submit the application only once. Multiple forms will be rejected.
  • The submission is ONLINE only.

Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 :

  • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity
  • Qualification details
  • Functional e-mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
  • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
  • For online payments, usually a valid debit or credit card as well as Net Banking facility, UPI or PAYTM Service is a must.
  • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber-cafe.
  • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021:

  • Step-1: Students have to register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created.
  • Step-2: Student has to complete the Application Form and its various sections
  • Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature and Left Thumb Impression.
  • Step-4: Payments have to be made by Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI / PAYTM

MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 Syllabus

Total Marks : 200

  • Logical / Abstract Reasoning

This shall include the questions to measures how quickly and accurately you can think. This test may have questions based On figures and diagrams and also questions on verbal reasoning.

  • Quantitative Aptitude

This shall include the questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio and proportion, percentage, etc. This test also helps to measure your power of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs and charts.

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension 

This shall include passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. Your English Language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. Your English language ability would be tested through questions on (1) understanding of the contents of passage and (2) choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.

MAH CET (MBA / MMS) 2021 Exam Day Instructions

Examination Day Instructions

Before Entering the Exam Centre
  • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card.
  • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
  • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
  • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
  • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
  • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
  • Usually no bags are allowed.
  • No eatables are allowed.
  • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager / wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
After Entering the Centre
  • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat.
  • If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
  • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
  • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
  • Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
  • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
  • The candidates are to return their OMR answer sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away of the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
  • Smoking is not allowed.
  • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to the expulsion of the candidate.
  • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet / cancellation of the candidature.
  • Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to cancellation of the exam for that candidate.
