Madurai Kamaraj University Post Graduate Entrance Exam 2021 or MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Marine Biology), M.Sc. (Microbial Gene Technology), M.Sc. (Biomedical Science), MBA and other courses. MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 is conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University.

The application forms will be available from 09/05/2021 till 30/07/2021. The duration of the exam will be 100 minutes. The result date will be announced later.

MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications: The Minimum Academic Qualifications for MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 required:

M.Sc. BiotechnologyBachelor’s Degree in any relevant areas of Life
Sciences/Zoology/Botany/Micro-biology
/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ChemicalScience
(allied with any Biology subject/ B.Tech, Bio-tech
with minimum of 55% of marks in UG Degree.
M.Sc. Marine BiologyB.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences
(Biology/Biochemistry/Botany/Zoology/ Marine
Biology/ Microbiology/Biotechnology or equivalent
of a recognized Indian or Foreign University).
Candidates should have scored a minimum of 55%
marks in the subject (Part III) and 50% marks for
SC&ST Categories.
M.Sc. Microbial Gene
Technology
A Candidate who has secured 50% marks or above
in part III of any degree in Science courses where
Biological Sciences (Botany, Microbiology,
Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, Zoology
etc.,) is either a major or an ancillary subject.
Students from professional Programmes such as
B.Pharm., B.Sc., Agriculture and related subjects
from a recognized Indian or Foreign University are
also eligible
M.Sc. Biomedical Sciences A Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences
(Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry,
Biotechnology, B.Sc., Medical Lab Technology,
Genetics or Equivalent, Physical and Chemical
Sciences Physics and Chemistry, Medicine,
Veterinary and Agriculture from any recognized
Indian or Foreign University. Students with B.E.
Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech Degree in
Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information
Technology and Bioinformatics with Biology at +2
level are also eligible
M.B.AA Pass in any Bachelor's degree.
M.A. Tamil A pass in any Bachelor’s degree with Tamil as
language under Part-I/II/III with 55% of marks and
SC candidates with 50% marks
M.A. English English as major subject for 3 year B.A English
Literature course & BA/B.Sc./BBE Candidates with
English as Part II English for IV semester except
B.Com & B.B.A Students

M.Sc. Earth Remote Sensing &
Geo-Information Technology 

M.Sc. Computer Science with  Specialization in Data Analytics  

A pass in B.A. Geography, B.Sc. degree in any subject/B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/ Bachelor of Town and Country planning with 50% of total marks in Part III.

A pass in B.A. Geography, B.Sc. degree in any subject/B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/ Bachelor of Town and Country planning with 50% of total marks in Part III.

M.Sc. MathematicsA pass in B.Sc. Maths/Special Maths/Applied
Science with 55% of total marks in Part III.
M.Sc. Physics A pass in B.Sc. Physics with Maths as one of
the subjects and having 55% of total marks. 
M.Sc. ChemistryA pass in B.Sc. Chemistry/Special
Chemistry/Applied Chemistry degree with Physics
as one of the ancillaries and other any one of the
ancillaries viz. Maths, Botany or Zoology with 55%
of total marks
M.Sc. GeographyA pass in B.Sc. Geography with 50% of marks. 
M.C.A. Any Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (45% for
SC/ST/PH) with Mathematics as one of the main
subject at 10+2 or any graduation level from a
recognized University
M.P.EdA pass in B.P.Ed/B.P.Es/B.P.E with 50% of marks.
Inter-collegiate or Inter District Sports participation
in any one of the games/sports is essential.
M.Ed.B.Ed. Degree with 50% marks. 
M.A. French Candidates with B.A. French/Any UG degree with
four semesters or two years of French Language/Any
degree with Higher Diploma in French/Any degree
with B1 level of Alliance Fransaise.

Application Form Filling Instructions

Students applying for the MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 have to fill up the application form on the official site. The student can submit the application only once. Multiple forms will be rejected.

Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021:

  • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity
  • Qualification details
  • Upload scanned image of the Passport size Photograph (50KB Size) and
  • Upload scanned image of the Signature in the appropriate box
  • Upload scanned image of the Consolidated mark statement if the applicant has already completed the UG Course. Otherwise the applicant has to upload the scanned copies of the mark statements of all the five semesters
  • Soft copy of candidate’s signature (Maximum 100 KB in size) in JPG / JPEG format.
  • Functional e-mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
  • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
  • For online payments, usually a valid debit or credit card as well as Net Banking facility, Credit Cards and Debit Cards Service is a must.
  • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021:

  • Step-1: Students have to register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created.
  • Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections
  • Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature.
  • Step-4: Payments have to be made by Cards/ Debit Cards / Net Banking.

More Information

Xerox copies of the following certificates along with Original has to be produced at the time of Admission:

  • SSLC, HSE mark statements
  • U.G. degree Mark statements / Grade certificates / Provisional Certificate.
  • Community Certificate obtained from Tahsildar/ Deputy Tahsildar concerned.
  • Income Certificate (obtained within 3 months before the date of submission of application) has to be produced (for SC/ST/Blind candidates only).
  • Certificate of Differently Abled / Leprosy cured: Candidates under the Differently Abled category should submit the certificate obtained from an authorized Medical Officer of the specialty concerned not below the rank of Civil Surgeon together with photograph showing the nature of handicap.
  • Sports Certificate: Candidates under the Sports category should produce a certificate obtained from the concerned University Physical Director in Form-I/II/III for having represented the State/Inter-University tournaments/Athletics.
  •  Ex-servicemen Certificate: Certificates to be produced
  • SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of Registration fee for only one programme (Registration fee has to be paid for applying for additional programmes). 
  • Filling with any wrong information or suppression of information may result in punitive action
  • All the columns in the application should be filled. 
  • In-complete application will be rejected.

MK University PG Entrance Exam 2021 Exam Day Instructions

Examination Day Instructions

Before entering the Exam Centre:

  • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card.
  • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
  • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
  • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
  • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
  • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
  • Usually no bags are allowed.
  • No eatables are allowed.
  • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager/ wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
  • Handbag / Carry bag/ Mobile phone / calculator /watch/any other electronic gadget or any paper (other than the Admit Card) shall not be allowed inside the Test Hall/Room and the University shall not be responsible for its safekeeping. If a candidate is found in possession of any such item during the Test, he/she would be deemed to have used unfair means and may lead to cancellation of his/her candidature.

After entering the centre:

  • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat.
  • If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
  • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
  • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
  • Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
  • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
  • The candidates are to return their OMR answer-sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away of the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
  • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
  • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet/cancellation of the candidature.
  • Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to cancellation of the exam for that candidate.

Note: Hall ticket will be sent to the candidate’s mail address. Also, Hall ticket will be available in the website from one week before the examination.
