Admission 2025 for Ph.D. (Education)
Usually, the admission process for majority of courses start in the month of April and ends in the month of September. However, for many courses, admission process is through an entrance exam or counseling process. The relevant details for this admission are given below:
Registration and Application
Interested candidates can apply Both (Online and Offline), by filling up the required form and submitting online or offline as required.

| Eligibility: Candidates with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and OBC (non-creamy layer, differently-abled and other category of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time) in M.A (Education) or Master of Education (M.Ed) are eligible to apply. |
Admission to Ph.D in Education is done through entrance test and interview. Candidates are required to appear in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU. The notification for entrance test for admission to Ph.D. programme will be issued by the Research Unit of IGNOU. UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degrees) Regulations, 2016 will be followed for admission to Ph.D. programme.
