Eligibility Criteria:
Faculty of Engineering:-
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% gross marks or a CGPA of 6.75/10 at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
OR
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 7.75/10 and would have published research papers in refereed journals or field/obtained.
OR
Candidates pursuing M.Sc.(Engg.) Degree with research at the University, and have successfully completed the designated coursework in the first two semesters of the curriculum with a minimum CGPA of 7.75/10 or 70% gross marks and had published research papers in refereed journals or registered/obtained patents shall be eligible for the M.Sc.(Engg.) + Ph. D Integrated Dual Degree program.
OR
Candidates pursuing M. Tech. Degree with research at the University, and have successfully completed the designated coursework in the first three semesters of the curriculum with a minimum CGPA of 7.75/10 or 70% gross marks with outstanding research aptitude will be eligible for the M. Tech. + Ph.D. Integrated Dual Degree Programme.
Faculty of Architecture:-
Candidates having a Master’s degree in Architecture / allied specialization or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% gross marks or a CGPA of 6.75/10 at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
OR
Candidates should hold Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 7.75/10 and would have published research papers in refereed journals or field/obtained.
OR
Candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent from a recognized University, including 10 years of experience in research/teaching / professional practice in Architecture would be eligible.
OR
The candidates pursuing M. Arch. Degrees at the university who have successfully performed the designated coursework in the first three semesters of the curriculum with a minimum CGPA of 7.75/10 or 70% gross marks with outstanding research aptitude will be eligible for the M. Arch+ Ph.D. Integrated Dual Degree Programme.
Faculty of Science:-
Candidates should have M.Sc. or M. Phil. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and such other related disciplines, from a recognized University/Institute with a least 60% gross marks or a CGPA of 6.75/10 at Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
Faculty of Computer Applications:-
Candidates possessing an MCA Degree from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% gross marks or a CGPA of 6.75/10 at Master’s degree.
Faculty of Business Administration:-
Candidates should have an MBA Degree from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% gross marks or a CGPA of 6.75/10 at Master’s degree.
Few Exemptions
- Foreign candidates belonging to NRI/FN/PIO categories.
- Candidates who have qualified UGC / UGC-CSIR JRF / SLET / CAT / GATE / NET or other National Test with a valid score.
- Candidates with M. Phil. degree or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
Application procedure and other details:
- The eligible candidates need to fill the online application form first. And then send the signed hardcopy of the same along with the details of the payment, and scan copy of all necessary documents to; The Registrar, Visvesvaraya Technological University, "Jnana Sangama" Belagavi-590018, Karnataka.
- The online fees are INR 750 for the ST/SC/Cat-I/SA candidates and INR 1500 for other candidates.
- Centers- Belagavi, Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Muddenahalli, davangere, and Mangaluru. (Candidates are advised to choose the centers on their own )
- Incomplete applications are likely to be rejected and further communication on such cases will not be considered under any conditions.
- Financial assistance will be provided as per the criteria of the University.
