National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test May 2020 or NHTET May 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to TET. NHTET May 2020 is conducted by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
NHTET May for the year 2020 has been announced by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and will be held on 27/02/2021. The application forms will be available from 09/02/2020 till 09/10/2020. The exam is in written mode. Admit card will be available from 15/02/2021. Result is expected to be announced on 15/03/2021.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree:
- Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management after 10+2 from a recognized University / Institute with at least 55% marks with at least 2 years Hospitality Industry Experience after obtaining Degree (6 months IT is part of Courses, not to be considered as experience for this purpose).
Master’s Degree:
- Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute after full time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management from a recognized University/ Institute with at least 55% marks.
Age should not be more than 35 years. Relaxation of age by 5 years for those belong to SC / ST / PD categories, 3 years for those belong to OBC categories is applicable as per rules. The maximum age in NHTET to be held from January to May will be counted as on 31st July of the same year. Similarly, maximum age in NHTET to be held from July to October will be counted as on 31st December of the same year in following manner

- General and EWS Categories - TA 30 years, AL 35 years.
- OBC Category- TA 33 years, AL 38 Years.
- SC/ST and PD Categories- TA 35 years, AL 40 years.

Application Form Filling Instructions
- Candidate should go through the details of the Brochure and see the requirement to fill the application form on-line in the portal www.thims.gov.in.
- Candidate have to purchase a demand draft from any scheduled Bank for the requisite amount of application fee before filling up the form, since the DD number will be required to fill in the form. In case of filling wrong DD number, the DD sent by the candidate along with print out, cannot be matched by the system and such form will liable to be rejected.
- Scan copy of passport size photograph in the required resolution and required pixel should be maintained to upload that in the application.
- Scan copy of one of the valid ID card in the required resolution and required pixel will also be required to upload in the application. ID card can be Adhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence and Passport
- All the information to be filled should be correct and spelling also be correct.
- Mobile number and the e-mail id should be valid, since all information will come through those communication modes. No surface male will be sent to any candidate

More Information
- Candidates have to download the Admit Card from the same portal between the specific time periods allotted for this purpose.
- No printed Admit card will be sent by surface male to any candidate.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter in to the exam hall without a print out of Admit Card and the original id card uploaded in the application form.
- Impersonation is a cognizable offence and Exam Superintendent is authorised to hand over nay impersonator to police.
