Eligibility: Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade (50% of marks or equivalent grade for SC, ST and Physically challenged candidates) of Berhampur University or any other University/Institution recognized by the University/UGC. College teachers and professionals with 15 years of experience should have at least 48% of marks at Master’s Degree level.	Students are selected through URET / UGC - NET / UGC - JRF. The Dept. provides a supporting atmosphere to carry out advanced research in the diverse aspects of Linguistics. Consequently, the department has witnessed very committed researchers producing original work by implementing various updated research methodologies.
